CSC Automotive  are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist/Service Advisor for their independent garage based in Hardwick Cambridge  You will have worked in a similar environment and have a sound understanding of a garage/workshop.

The roll will involve running the reception desk, booking in customers, dealing with telephone inquiries. Process customer payment. You must be able to price up jobs, order parts and be effective in selling products and services as well as explaining the repair process to our customers.

Communicate within the workshop and gain customer authorisation prior to any work being undertaken.

Ideal candidate will have experience in Autoworks Garage system ,training available. knowledge and understanding of all vehicle mechanics is essential.

Immediate start.

Wages £9.00 to £12.00 per hour  dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time.

Full time Weekdays and Saturday morning by rotation. Hours Negotiable.



We are a family run business based in Hardwick Cambridge  looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Motor Mechanic to provide diagnostic, repair and service of cars in the workshop. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them. This will include using traditional methods and electronic diagnostic tools. Cars worked on will be of various ages and so candidates will need to be competent with motor mechanics.

The person should be able to:

  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, servicing parts, etc)
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts / Carry out MOT repairs
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

The Ideal Candidate will Have The Following :

  • Have proven experience as Vehicle Technician / Motor Mechanic
  • Have good practical skills and methodical problem-solving skills
  • Have good hand / eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Have excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
  • Have working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Have the ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions
  • Have good computer skills and the ability to accurately complete written records
  • Have the ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
  • Be willing to observe all safety precautions and keep clean and tidy
  • Be in good health
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Hold full UK driving licence
  • Be able to work as part of a small team

Wages : £11.00 to £14.00 per hour  depending on experience.

Monday to Friday 08:00 to 6.00 negotiable

Saturday 8.30 to 12.00 rotational
